Hey guys,
at the moment I give the DVD I collect a normal number and the Blu-rays I collect starting with 10xx to separate them from the DVDs in my local and my online collection.

But wouldn't it be better if there will be a feature in the program to create a custom categories like the actual categories "All", "Owned", "Ordered" and "Wishlist".

For example:
"All", "Owned", "DVD","Blu-ray", "Ordered" and "Wishlist"

Which will affect for the local and online collection.

What do you think ?

That already is a feature. Go to the Tools menu and select "Edit Custom Categories", you can create any kind of category you want there.

The online collection does not reflect the custom categories at this time.  Fingers crossed, in the future

This program feature is new to the recent upgrade in versions (April, I believe). The online hasn't been upgraded in quite some time, though there has been talk about a new version in the works.  When this will come about is uncertain, especially as there is only one programmer for this program, Ken.  There is a topic by Ken here that keeps us updated on his progress.

Alright thank you.
When I create custom categories and upload that collection online...will the categories still there when I re-download my whole collection some time later or does I have to create them again and move the discs back to that categories ?

The custom categories are stored in the database, so yes.

When you download from the database back to your computer, even though you cannot (as of yet) see titles online that were in your custom categories, they will be added back to look the same way on your computer as they did when they were uploaded.
