Currently, I'm receiving alerts about a new download. I'm only interested in stable releases and would like to opt in for that only.

Any chance, we could have this, in options?

Version 3.7 is officially released (see the Announcements thread).  Only after that release did i start receiving the alert.

Okay, thanks! Not exactly what I was aiming for so I better refraise. I want to opt out on the "new download" alerts!

1. I'm a regular visitor here and know when something "interesting" is going on anyway.
2. Both my favorite plug-ins have "some" problems with the latest release. I don't want to loose them just because there's a new version of DVDP.

To be forced to see and click NO in that alert, is annoying.

We have the option to opt out on the backup alerts, why not for the new version alerts?

Ah!

That i agree with.  Or at least give me the option not to be bothered again for X days.

Press and hold CTRL as the program starts, select diagnostic startup, and check the two options to disable the version check, and to make the change permanent.
