My copy of MI-5: Volume 8 UPC 883929099368 Has no credits opening or closing.
I'm going to use the credit I found on the official web site BBC/UK & DVD special features for my local profiles.

Comments, anybody else have this DVD set with or with out credits?
How about Spooks: 8, does it have credits?

No Spooks seasons ever have credits, it's a directorial/production "affectation" to emphasise the 'secret' nature of those involved in spying.

IIRC it seemed to be agreed on these forums that rather than marking everyone as 'uncredited' (so as to separate those who really are uncredited in the official documentation... and because it looks a bit silly!) if the credits come from an official source they are just added as usual.

Some of the seasons contain the credits as a DVD extra feature (but I'm not sure the latter seasons have done this) and (as you've seen) the credits are usually available of the BBC site which have been accepted in the past since, as I mentioned above, they are official. I for one would vote "Yes" for their inclusion.

Still, tricky and probably why nobody seems to have done them for Season 4 onwards for the R2 releases at least!

The rules do cover this situation...
Quote:
If there are no credits, the film's official site may be used as a source, as long as the inclusion does not violate the site's published policy (if any).

So, if there is an official site, you can take the credits from there.

I have to add that this is a fairly new addition to the rules, so easily missed.

Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.

The BBC/UK site only has past episode credits and crew credits are limited. BBC/US only has season 9.
I have volume 1 thru 8 and it is the first time noticed any missing credits.

It is one of my favorite show, when I receive it I just have watch as soon as I can.
Now that I look at the older profiles I see there are a lot of missing credits.

I don't like to do credits  for TV show until I have watched them. Searching for credits in some of TV shows can go on for minutes into the show.

THX! for the quick response.

FWIW it's the same for me; whatever series I'm watching on DVD when the Spooks set turns up gets put on the back burner whilst I watch the whole of the Spooks series.

Now if only Zaavi would actually get hold of the set from their suppliers and send the filppin' thing to me I'd be happy!
