Runtime:
The DVD features a 1978 concert played for German TV. The concert footage runs 52 minutes. The DVD also includes a 2011 interview with the assistant director which runs another 12 minutes. The disc menu offers a "play all" function which plays the concert and interview and options to play each song individually. The interview is listed as an extra in this menu and on the cover. There is no option to just play the full concert without the interview. The cover states the runtime as 64 minutes.
Should I contribute the 52 minute runtime for the concert or the 64 minute runtime for the concert plus interview ?
Language:
There is no language menu. The DVD only offers one audio track. Obviously the concert is entirely in English with the exception of a few German words as part of the songs. The interview is in German.
Should I list the language as English or German ? (I'm leaning towards English.)
Cast:
There are no end credits. During the final song before the encore the band members are listed with their names and abbreviations for the instruments they play (voc, g, b, dr). I think the roles should therefore be voc, g, b and dr. Or should I list them as uncredited ?

If the "Interview" is part of the "Play All" and there's no way to play the concert only it's part of the Feature and therefore the running time is 64 minutes
Question 2)
For Concert-DVDs we usually are using the language in which the text is sung to define the Audio language. In this case this would be "English".
There may be exceptions to this guideline though. E.g.: A concert performed in a dead language like Latin, I'm not sure how we would handle this.
Question 3)
If the bandmembers are listed within the feature with their names and "role" this qualifies as "credited", it's just not a "standard credit" | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

... I think this would be covered by this part of the rules, so not uncredited: Quote:
If a film has no end credits, but does have actors credited elsewhere, enter the actors from those credits. |

The combination of these two questions makes it really difficult. (Or I'm simply overcomplicating things.) If the runtime would only cover the concert part, the language would obviously be English. But if the interview, which is in German, is also included in the runtime it's not so clear anymore. |

Did "The Ramones" really give an Interview in German? Or is it more the common variant: Answers and questions are in English (and still hear-able) while simultaneously translated into German?. Anyhow, in both cases I'd cling to the language within the concert (English). Otherwise you'd get severe problems with features like "Cross of Iron" where large parts are Russian, still the language of the Audio Track is considered to be English. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!

It is with the former assistant director of the show (Jörg Sonntag) and was recorded in 2011 for the DVD release of the 1978 concert. This interview is listed as an extra feature both on the cover and in the menu but still included in the total runtime. |

On September 13, 1978 the RAMONES played a concert in the TV-Studios of Radio Bremen. It was the first TV-appearance of the band in Europe at all. For the successful TV-Show "MUSIKLADEN", they performed 25 songs in just under 50 minutes - and then left an enthusiastic audience. Here comes this incredible performance in full lenght, including all encores for the first time on DVD. Gabba Gabba Hey! |
