| | Posted: | | | | I've got "The Holy Land" that has one main audio track with four different languages spoken within. English is the only subtitle language. How do I deal with multiple languages in this instance. |

| | Posted: | | | | Most players (stand alone and computer-based) will let you step through the Audio tracks and will usually display what language was assigned. It may also be explicitly stated on the DVD menus.
I'd just go with what the makers called it.
Was there actually a question about the subtitles? You have one track and it's English, so select English | | | | Bad movie? You're soaking in it! |

| | Posted: | | | | I have one regular dialog track in which Hebrew, Arabic, English and Russian are spoken. For this track there are English subtitles when English is not spoken.
I have the commentary track which is only in English.
How do I indicate multiple languages in one track, or pick one above the rest? |

For what its worth, DVDEmpire lists it as a English DD Stereo.

For examples, all of these films have accepted profiles listing the audio track as "Other":
Rachida - Arabic & French
Import/Export - German, Slovak, Russian & English
Farinelli - Italian & French
The Band's Visit - English, Hebrew & Arabic

I have seen many MANY movies where the movie has a small handful of scenes in another language with English subtitles built in to show what is being said. I can't see all these movies not saying English language... just saying Other. | | | | Pete |

If it's mostly in English and only a small part is in an other language, I use English as well. This. ^ Generally, when I see a multiple language audio track listed, it isn't that one of them is a main language.
