Hi!

I have a DVD of the movie "The Dark Knight" from the online shop CD WOW and don't know the locality. The UPC is 7321902176583 and there is no rating on the case. Region Code is 2 (and also 5 but only 2 is printed on the cover).

I asked at CD WOW and they answered "Our buying team has confirmed that the above item was originally produced in the US."

My guess is that the DVD has been produced in the US for countries that don't have their own releases (maybe in the Middle East). So what locality should I use when I submit this to the database?

I also thought for a few months that it is that British edition but it's not. The UPC really has a "3" at the end, there are really no rating logos and the cover is a bit different. I don't have a photo at the moment but the back cover design is similar to this edition.

Here you wrote the inner EAN is 7321902176581, which would be the UK version.

No, I ASKED in that thread if I might have the amaray that is inside the slip cover of the UK-Version but another User said to me that the UPC of the cover and the case are the same (...581).

I can't imagine how my DVD could have an invalid UPC number? Is it a bootleg? I'll check the number again when I'm at home.

OK, this is quite embarrassing, but I made a mistake with the EAN. It's actually 7321917176583 and this one is valid. The small print doesn't say what country the release is licensed for, the only mention of a country is the USA: "Distributed by Warner Home Video, 4000 Warner Blvd., Burbank, CA 91522".
