Sometimes, however, a third editor gets the main credit and the first one has a "Supervising Editor" credit deeper into the credits. Is this credit still valid if it's not with the main editing credit? The rules state to include "Principal Editors listed when credited together", and also state to include "Supervising" credits except where explicitly forbidden. Is this supervising credit still valid if it's not with the main editing credit? | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page |

Not listed together means we can't use it I'm afraid. | | | Last edited: November 14, 2013 9:49 PM by Nexus Six |

When I started auditing the title, the situation seemed somewhat ambiguous, but after typing up the post and looking at the rules, I leaned more towards not valid. But I figured some opinions couldn't hurt. | | | My DVD/Blu-ray Collection My Letterboxd Page | | | Last edited: November 15, 2013 12:29 AM by Rizor |

This means that the third editor you mentioned does most of the editing but the "Supervising Editor" is in the end the one who is in charge and gets blamed if the thing doesn't work. The third editor has maybe been the former assistant of the one who is now Supervising Editor and got the chance to do an episode on his own with his boss having a look on it and last decision on the final cut. So the poll's result is nice but wrong. They should be mentioned both in the profiler. |

Unfortunately, they are explicity forbidden by the notes section. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
