Hi!

I haven't seen anything about that in the rules so I'm asking here  .
I have a Battlestar Galactica box set containing the Miniseries, the 4 seasons of the series and the 2 movies.
There is only one UPC, the box set one.

For now, there is only one profile with all this inside it.
Is it allowed to create alternate versions of the box set UPC?

So that we have:

Parent Profile (with box upc): Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Series
+ Child Profile 1: Season 1 (with upc variant #1)
+ Child Profile 2: Season 2 (with upc variant #2)
+ Child Profile 3: Season 3 (with upc variant #3)
+ Child Profile 4: Season 4 (with upc variant #4)
+ Child Profile 5: Movie 1 (with upc variant #5)
+ Child Profile 6: Movie 2 (with upc variant #6)

Thanks!

Not with variants of UPCs of other sets.

The TV Series rules were updated to say...

Quote:
In cases where multiple complete TV seasons/series (each with distinct UPC/EAN) are packaged together, the Box-set rules are applied, treating each season/series like a single film - applying the above rules for its individual profile.

Notice the part I put in bold.

The only way to do season sets inside of complete series sets is if there is separate packaging for the seasons that each has their own UPC/EAN. If they don't have their own UPC/EAN then you don't create the season sets.

This is something we argued back and forth over in the rules forum.... and ended with Ken making a decision that was even stricter then most were asking for.

So No you can not make season sets from a variant of the complete series UPC.

This what brought up before, and it was quite contentious... to be honest I don't remember what came out of it, but by looking at the rules I don't see anything that would allow it.

This is a new rule in the rules at the bottom of the TV Series section.

Ok no problem, I just wanted to be sure.
I don't have access to the rules forum (I asked but never got an answer), so I didn't see this thing debated.

Thank you for your answers
