Rewind - DVD Compare 51 mins · RIP - Site Owner Samuel Scott (1984-2020)
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we have to inform you our site owner Samuel Scott suddenly passed at the young age of 36. His passing was far too early and he will be missed.
Sam had a profound love for movies and it showed in his collection and his devotion to keeping this website alive. If you've met Sam in person or through this site you would have met a wonderful human. Sam has been a good friend to a lot of us.
As it stands, we will be keeping DVDcompare going, since this is what Sam would have wanted. For the time being, operations as usual. But do expect certain changes to occur in the near future.
Rest in peace Sam, you will be missed dearly. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Many of you probably used his website in the past when deciding on which regional DVD purchase you were going to make. I first became friends with Sam way back in the days of DVDSpot, which is where I met him. He had a great sense of humor and I thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth banter which we engaged in our film discussions. When the Spot folded in 2008, he followed me to this forum and we continued our film loving friendship. I am proud to have known him and to be part of his film loving life, he will be sorely missed by me and many others whose paths also crossed on the internet. |

| Posted: | | | | R.I.P., fellow DVDSpot alum. | | | My one wish for the DVD Profiler online database: Ban or remove the disc-level profiles of TV season sets. It completely screws up/inflates the CLT. FACT: Imdb is WRONG 70% of the time! Misspelled cast, incomplete cast, wrong cast/crew roles. So for those who want DVD Profiler to be "as perfect as Imdb", good luck with that. Stop adding UNIT crew! They're invalid credits. Stop it! |
